A pencil mark in the leather, chocolate milk or soup stain? Do not panic! A lot of stains can be cleaned with the right maintenance product and a littlebit of patience. On this page you can read exactly what to do!

TEN BASIC RULES
Always follow these ten basic rules: Keep dusting! It may sound logical, but weekly dusting is really 95% of maintenance. It prevents the build-up of household waste (dust) and ensures that your furniture stays nice and fresh. Tip: check whether the LCK® cleaning glove set is suitable for your furniture. Go directly to: maintenance advice.
Spring and Autumn cleaning. We advise to maintain furniture 2-4 times a year with the recommended maintenance products. This way you ensure that you can enjoy your furniture optimally, every year!
Fluids. Treat liquids as fast as possible without dabbing too hard. First, try to soak up the liquid with a sheet of uncolored kitchen paper. The goal is to prevent as much liquid (and therefore dye) from entering the fibers as possible. Then clean with the recommended cleaner and distilled water, see rule 10.
Solids like mustard and mayonaise you can easily remove with the blund side of a knive. Then again, clean with the recommended cleaner and distilled water, see rule 10.
Never rub or scrub! The damage could be permanent. Always be gentle and follow the package instructions.
Do not use regular household products! These often contains solvents, and you do not know how the agent will react on your upholstery. Use the recommended cleaner, or contact us. There is often more possible than you think!
Always clean an entire section. For example, after you have cleaned a stain on a back cushion, you should also clean the entire back cushion. If you only clean a stain locally, there is a chance that you will continue to see it.
Use the proper technique. If possible, clean from the outside in and not the otherway around. This prevents you from smearing the stain even further. Also follow the package instructions or, if you contacted us, the instructions in your personal treatment plan.
&quot;Let the knife do the job&quot;. For all our Gordan Ramsay fans, but instead of a knive we ofcourse use the recommended cleaner. Use the cleaner to remove the stain without scrubbing or appying to much pressure. If the cleaner is able, it will will always try to gradually dissolve the stain.
Do not use tab water! We cannot speak for the whole world, but here in the Netherlands not every household has the same water hardness. This means that tap water can leave very stubborn limescale deposits. These, more or like, &#039;circles&#039; are extremely difficult to remove. Therefore, get distilled or demineralized water from the supermarket or drugstore. This often costs only a few cents and always comes in handy.
GREASE STAINS (IN LEATHER)
Whatever you do, stay calm, because you don&#039;t need to do anything about most grease stains. What&#039;s up with that? Well, most leathers with an open structure have the property of absorbing small grease stains (such as gravy splatters) over time. You don&#039;t have to do anything about this yourself, except monitor it.Day 1: Remove as much solids and liquids as possible, using the basic rules above. Then take a picture of the grease stain and put a reminder in your calendar for next week.

Day 8: Take another photo from the same spot a week later and set another reminder.

Repeat this for about 3-4 weeks and compare the photos afterwards. Does the grease stain become visibly less noticable? Then please don&#039;t do anything about it, the stain will go away on its own. If not, please contact us and send the photos.

                <description>DIFFERENT TYPES OF LEATHEREvery leather starts its life course the same: as a bare skin. After the leather is tanned in the tannery, it is inspected before being processed into upholstery. In one lifetime, a cow gets a lot to endure: fly bites, scratches, scraps, branding. Yet you do not always see this on your couch, how is that possible? After a skin is tanned, it is processed into a final product. This happends in stages and in various ways. The way the leather is finished determines the looks, the feels and also the type of maintenance. The most common types of leather are listed here:

∙ pigmented leather
∙ aniline leather
∙ saddle leather
∙ vintage leather
∙ nubuck leather

FREQUENCY OF MAINTENANCEPigmented leather - Keralux® set P

This is the most common leather on the market. After the leather is tanned, it is finished with several layers of color pigments. The advantage of this is that small imperfections, scars and spots can be camouflaged. In addition, this top layer of color pigments protects the leather against sunlight, dirt and moisture. In practice, this is the easiest leather to maintain and most suitable for families with small children.

Maintenance:

∙ weekly dusting and / or wiping with a slightly damp cloth
∙ maintain 2x a year with the products from the Keralux® set P
∙ possibly additional protection with the Keralux® strong protector

Aniline leather - Keralux® set A

After tanning, the aniline leather is dyed throughout in a container and, in contrast to pigmented leather, is not finished with a top layer of color pigments. We also call this a leather an open structured leather. Hides that qualify to be processed into aniline leather are rare because they should not show any scars or other forms of damage. The great advantage of aniline leather is that it looks beautiful, it also feels warm, soft and luxurious. Because the leather is not protected (open structured) it comes with a manual. The most important thing is to protect this leather from day 1 against discoloration and stains. In practice, this is not the most suitable leather for families with small children and / or pets.

Maintenance:

∙ weekly dusting and / or wiping a slightly damp cloth
∙ maintain 2x a year with the products from the Keralux® set A
∙ protect new furniture from day 1 with the Keralux® lotion A

Saddle leather - Keralux® set S

&#039;Saddle&#039; leather is actually a collective name for all leather that is finished with a wax layer. This wax layer is also the only protection for this type of leather. You can easily recognize a saddle leather by gently covering the surface with your nails. You will see that your nails leave small scratches. Do not freak out! Because, if well maintained, these scratches are embedded in the wax layer that protects the leather. The maintenance of this type of leather speaks for itself: replenish the wax layer in time. Typical of this type of leather are discoloration due to dehydration or the lack of maintenance.

Vintage leather - Keralux® set Vi

One of the most popular and emerging leather types of the past 5 years is called &#039;vintage&#039; leather. This leather can best be described as an opposite aniline leather. The imperfections, slight discoloration, possible scars and scratches give this leather its charm. The leather is often partly sanded and provided with a top finish layer. This leather also has an open structure and is therefore sensitive to discoloration due to sunlight.

Maintenance:

∙ weekly dusting and / or wiping with a slightly damp cloth
∙ maintain 2x a year with the products from the Keralux® set Vi
∙ protect new furniture from day 1 with the Keralux® spray N

Nubuck leather - Keralux® set N

Characteristic of a nubuck leather is that it feels soft and warm to the touch. The leather is lightly sanded so that it almost has a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather has a very nice grip and looks stunning but needs to be maintained. Because the leather is partly sanded off, almost a kind of &#039;fibers&#039; are created that can mix with whirling dust and perspiration. Typical are the black spots that can arise as a result. In addition, nubuck leather is very sensitive to discoloration by sunlight.

Maintenance:

Light changes materials! General: Sunlight, but also artificial light, makes fabrics and leather pale. Therefore, try to not expose seating furniture to the direct effect of light. In this way, accelerated fading is prevented. Heating
Too much heat is harmful to all upholstery. Foam fillings run back in quality due to too much heat. Therefore, never place seating furniture too close to heat sources. If it is necessary to place a bench in front of a radiator, ensure that there is sufficient space between the floor, radiator and seat, so that air can circulate properly.Pets
Nails from pets damage your furniture. Scratches do not look beautiful, and are a pain to cover up. Even the best fabrics and the most robust leathers can not withstand a &quot;treatment&quot; by our best friends.Humidity
Too high of a humidity is not good for seating furniture, if the value is too low the leather dries out. Wood can deform, foam can change, in short it is important to ensure a healthy living environment for people, animals and furniture. For living rooms a humidity of 45-55% is recommended, the ideal temperature is between 18-21 degrees Celsius.

Restore the original colour? It&#039;s possible!
LCK® has a database that goes back 30 years with more than 20,000 color samples. We have most leather samples from our partner Ohmann Leather®. This allows us to create a colour lotion with the original colour number. Choose the correct leather type and color from the selection menu. The Keralux® colour repair set is completely adjusted to the chosen leather. If your colour is not listed, this colour can be made if you send us a sample, see below for more information.Our colour lotions are water-based, partially transparent and are made with the original dyes and/or color pigments of leather. The cleaner from the set is also selected for each leather and specially added. So you get a complete repair kit that is completely customized!

Is your sofa suffering from a stain, damage or colour difference due to years of use? Then this is probably the set for you. If you want to know for sure, we kindly ask you to send us a photo. Remember, our advice is always free!

∙ What are the requirements for a leather sample?
A sample, a small strip of leather, only needs to be 1-4 cm long and can easily be cut away at the bottom of a piece of furniture, or behind a closure such as a zipper. Sometimes the bottom is stuck with a few staples, when you pop those off you will see that the leather probably overlaps a few centimeters. Cut away a little piece and mail it to our mailbox (PO box), see contact.

∙ Does a Keralux® colour repair set help against scratches?
A Keralux® colour repair set can be used to camouflage small scratches and abrasions. Please note: the colour lotions are always partially transparent. In principle, you build up the colour intensity with several thin layers of colour lotion. This means that most superficial damage can be neatly removed, but cannot be covered 100%.

∙ Can i use the colour lotion for older / dried out leather?
When a colour difference arises, this usually has a cause, such as: dehydration due to the lack of nutrition. In that case, the leather becomes a bit more sparse or even harder. In this case, add the Keralux® leather balm to your order and proceed as follows:

Day 1: nourish with Keralux® leather balm, follow the package instructions.
- wait about a week, before proceding to the next step -
Day 8: clean and recolour the leather with the Keralux® colour repair set, follow the package instructions.
- let the leather dry completely for about 24h, after the last layer of colour lotion -
Day 9: nourish again with a very thin layer of Keralux® leather balm.

Article 1, definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

agreement: an agreement in which the client acquires products or services, with respect to a distance agreement and these goods and/or services are delivered by the Entrepreneur or a third party on the basis of an arrangement between this third party and the Entrepreneur.;

client: the natural person who does not act for purposes related to his/her commercial trade, craft or professional activities;

day: calendar day;

distance contract: a contract concluded by the Entrepreneur and the client within the scope of an organized system for distance selling products and/or services, whereby exclusive or additional use is made of one or more technologies of distance communication up to the conclusion of the contract;

entrepreneur: LCK Nederland B.V.;

reflection period: the period during which the client may use his right of withdrawal;

right of withdrawal: the client’s option not to proceed with the distance agreement within the cooling-off period;

form for withdrawal: the European standard form for withdrawal

sustainable data carrier: any means, including e-mail, that allow the client or the Entrepreneur to store information directed to him/her personally in such a manner that makes future consultation and use possible during a period that matches the purpose for which the information is destined and which makes unaltered reproduction of the stored information possible.

technology for distance communication: any means to be used for concluding an agreement without the client and the Entrepreneur being together in the same place at the same time.

Article 3, applicability

These General Terms and Conditions apply to any offer from the entrepreneur and to any distance contract concluded by the entrepreneur and the client. Before concluding a distance contract, the entrepreneur has made the text of these General Terms and Conditions available on the website.
The text of these General Terms and Conditions can be viewed electronically and they can be sent at the client´s request, free of charge, either via e-mail or otherwise;

Article 4, offer

If an offer is of limited duration or if certain conditions apply, it shall be explicitly stated in the offer.

The offer contains a full and accurate description of the products and/or services offered. The description is suitably detailed to enable the client to assess the products or services adequately. Pictures are truthful images of the products and/or services provided. Obvious errors or mistakes in the offer do not bind the entrepreneur. All offers contain such information that it is clear to the client what rights and obligations are attached to accepting the offer.

Article 5, the price

All prices indicated in the webshop are including Dutch VAT.

Article 6, contract

The contract becomes valid when the client has accepted the offer and fulfilled the terms and conditions set.

Article7, right of withdrawal

The client can repudiate a purchase contract for a product without giving reasons for a period of reflection of 14 days. The entrepreneur may ask the client about the reason for the withdrawal but cannot force him to state his reason(s). The reflection period starts on the day the product is received by the client or by a third party appointed by him in advance and who is not the carrier, or
if the client ordered several products in the same order: the day on which the client or a third party appointed by him received the last product.
Article 8, client’s obligations during the time of reflection
During this period, the client shall handle the product and the packaging with care. The client shall only unpack the product to the extent necessary for establishing the nature and the characteristics of the product. The guiding principle is that the client may only handle and inspect the product in the manner in which one is allowed to handle a product in a shop.

Article 9, Exercising the client’s right of withdrawal and the costs
If the client exercises his right of withdrawal he shall notify the entrepreneur unambiguously with the standard form for withdrawal within the period of reflection. The client shall return the product or deliver it to the entrepreneur as soon as possible but within 14 days counting from the day following the notification has been sent. The client shall return the product in the original state and packing and in conformity with the instructions given by the entrepreneur. The risk and the burden of proof for the correct and timely exercise of the right of withdrawal fall on the client. The client shall bear the direct costs of returning the product.

Article 10, entrepreneur’s obligations in case of withdrawal

The entrepreneur shall promptly send a return receipt after receiving notification of withdrawal.The entrepreneur shall reimburse all payments made by the client., including paid delivery costs as soon as possible but within 14 days following the day on which the Entrepreneur has received the product. The entrepreneur shall make use of the same means of payment that the client used, unless the client consents to another method. The reimbursement is free of charge for the client. If the client opted for a more expensive method of delivery instead of the cheapest standard delivery, the Entrepreneur need not reimburse the additional costs for the more expensive method.

Article 11 - Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The Entrepreneur excludes the following products and services from the right of withdrawal: Products manufactured in accordance with the Client’s specifications which are not prefabricated and which are produced on the basis of a client’s individual choice of colour or mixture.

Article 12 performance of an agreement

The entrepreneur guarantees that the products and/or services comply with the agreement, with the specifications listed in the product description and manuals, with reasonable requirements of usability and/or reliability and with the existing statutory provisions and/or government regulations on the day the contract was concluded. The entrepreneur is not responsible for any damages that may occur due to wrong usage of the product or to not following the instructions/manuals.

Article 13, delivery and execution

The entrepreneur shall exercise the best possible care when booking orders and executing product orders and when assessing requests for the provision of services. The place of delivery is at the address given by the client to the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur shall execute accepted orders with convenient speed but at least within 30 days, unless another delivery period was agreed on. If the delivery has been delayed, or if an order cannot be filled or can be filled only partially, the client shall be informed about this within one month after ordering. In such cases, the client is entitled to repudiate the contract free of charge. The entrepreneur shall return the payment made by the client promptly but at least within 30 days after repudiation. The risk of loss and/or damage to products will be borne by the entrepreneur until the time of delivery to the client or a representative appointed in advance and made known to the client, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

Article 14, payment

The following means of payment are available: credit card, pay pal, banktransfer, IDEAL and Mr cash.

Article 16, complaints procedure

Complaints about the performance of the contract shall be submitted fully and clearly described to the Entrepreneur within 2 days after the client discovered the defects. The complaints submitted to the Entrepreneur shall be replied within a period of 14 days after the date of receipt. Should a complaint require a foreseeable longer time for handling, the Entrepreneur shall respond within 14 days with a notice of receipt and an indication when the client can expect a more detailed reply. The usage of our products by the consumer is out of the entrepreneurs control. It is therefore that the entrepreneur cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur due to wrong usage and/or not following instructions or manuals.

Article 15, applicable law

Contracts between the Eentrepreneur and the client to which these General Terms and Conditions apply, are exclusively governed by Dutch law.</description>
